Julie Glanville

Independant Consultant in Information Retreival

Julie is a qualified librarian who has worked in systematic reviews for more than 30 years. She is an independent consultant focusing on information retrieval for systematic reviews. She is an active trainer, searcher and reviewer.

 

From 2008 to June 2020, Julie was Associate Director of York Health

Economics Consortium (YHEC) and coordinated its information and review

services. Previously, Julie was Associate Director and Information Service Manager at the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD), University of York, for fourteen years.

 

Julie is a co-author of the Cochrane Handbook chapter on searching for

evidence and a co-manager of the ISSG Search Filter Resource and the SuReInfo HTA handbook.

Dr Miriam Albers

Head of the Department Library, ZB MED Library

Dr Miriam Albers studied psychology and library science. She completed her doctorate on the topic of ‘Journal management in academic libraries and the

implications of the open access initiative’ in a collaborative project between the Technical University of Cologne and Humboldt University in Berlin.

After working at the Fraunhofer Society's central specialist information service, where she was responsible for the development of strategic projects, she joined the Technical University of Cologne, where she taught human resources and project management, electronic publishing and empirical methods to library students. She is currently acting head of the ZB MED library and is responsible for its strategic reorientation. At the same time, she works as a lecturer and trainer for personnel management, personality development and library management.
